Turkish 'Baykar' Production to Develop in Ukraine: Zelensky
During his visit to Ukraine, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky. Following the meeting, Erdoğan stated that Turkey continues to support Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, including Crimea.
“Turkey is ready to do everything in its power to resolve the crisis between Russia and Ukraine. We, as Turkey, are not ‘pouring oil on the fire,’ but are moving with the logic of reducing tension,” he emphasized.
Erdoğan also noted that they have revised joint projects for the Crimean Tatars. President Zelensky informed that they have already signed the Turkey-Ukraine free trade agreement, considering it a historic event.
Zelensky expressed his gratitude to Erdoğan for Turkey’s willingness to mediate in the crisis situation.
“We discussed developments in the defense and aviation industries. Thanks to the agreement we signed today, the production of 'Baykar' will develop in Ukraine,” he added.
