Intense Discussions in the Ruling Party over Presidential Candidate. 'Hraparak'
Currently, there is only one name being discussed for the presidential candidate within the ruling party—Arayik Harutyunyan’s name. However, this candidacy has already faced sharp public criticism and there are objections to it within the ruling party as well.
The former Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, and the Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister, Arayik Harutyunyan's candidacy has not been unanimously accepted within the Civil Contract party. This was reported by the newspaper 'Hraparak'.
Although Harutyunyan's candidacy has not yet been officially presented to the faction, online discussions are being held within the ruling party, and there are disagreements regarding this nomination.
Other candidates are being sought within the team, with suggestions being made for Ararat Mirzoyan, Alen Simonyan, and even Aram Sargsyan. However, Prime Minister Pashinyan is inclined to appoint someone whose loyalty and obedience he has never had cause to doubt over the past four years, and such individuals are few and far between.
