Blizzard in Shinhuhair Village: Roads Blocked and Impassable

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that there are blocked and impassable roads in the territory of Armenia.

The road from the Amberd Fortress to the Kary Lake is closed in the Aragatsotn province. The roads leading from the M-1 highway in Shirak province to Musayelyan, Krasar villages, and the Amasia-Berdashen highway are impassable.

The Vardenyats Pass is also impassable, and trucks with trailers are required to use chains. In the provinces of Syunik, Vayots Dzor, and parts of Aragatsotn, Lori, and Shirak, as well as on the Artik-Alagyaz highway, there are patches of black ice.

In Shinhuhair village of Syunik province, a blizzard is ongoing, and the first kilometer of the Goris-Yerevan highway is closed due to the blizzard.

The Saravan-Saralanj section of the Vayots Dzor province is one-way passable (at the 158th km of the Yerevan-Meghri highway). It is currently snowing in the Aragats region of Aragatsotn province.
