Six Citizens of Kazakhstan Stranded in Armenia Unable to Return to Homeland
Six citizens of Kazakhstan have remained in Armenia due to the temporary cancellation of Yerevan-Aktau-Yerevan flights. Currently, they are staying in hotels and waiting to return to their homeland. This information was provided to Sputnik Armenia by the Kazakhstan embassy in Armenia.
According to preliminary data, one of them is expected to return home as early as this evening, while the remaining five will leave Armenia tomorrow.
The diplomatic mission also indicated that the number of those waiting to return home had been larger, but some managed to resolve their issues with the help of relatives and friends residing in Armenia. The embassy noted that fellow citizens in Armenia have also actively supported those in need.
It is reminded that the direct flights from Yerevan to Aktau have been temporarily canceled due to the state of emergency declared in Kazakhstan.
