The Ministry of Defense Has Issued a Statement
In response to information circulated by media and social networks regarding the partial payment of December salaries to contract servicemen of the RA Armed Forces, as well as claims that this is due to insufficient funding, we would like to inform that there is no issue related to salary financing. Furthermore, there is a misunderstanding regarding the compensation for December, as this compensation consists of two main components: the base salary and an allowance that depends on service conditions and location.
As such, the base salary for servicemen for December has been fully transferred, while the allowances will be paid at the beginning of the following month (in this case, January), once the actual number of service days for the servicemen has been calculated. In other words, the allowances for December will be paid by the 7th working day of January 2022.
At the same time, the claim stating that a separate unit of the Ministry of Defense, in this case, the military police, has received bonuses does not correspond to reality.
