Tensions between Azerbaijan and Iran Resolved: Bayramov
Tensions between Azerbaijan and Iran have been completely resolved. This was stated by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov during a concluding press conference on Monday.
“It is no secret that there were tensions and certain misunderstandings between the two countries (Azerbaijan-Iran) some time ago, but they have been eliminated,” the minister said.
According to him, a meeting took place between the presidents of Iran and Azerbaijan in Ashgabat, during which a wide range of issues was discussed. During a meeting in Baku last week, the parties agreed to conduct political consultations at least once every six months.
He also mentioned that a session of the Azerbaijan-Iran intergovernmental economic commission will be held soon. “Within the framework of that meeting, a roadmap for the implementation of new projects in the economic sector between Azerbaijan and Iran will be coordinated and adopted,” he added.
