They Want to Remove the Names of Ancient Armenian Cities: Russian MP's Strong Reaction
It is likely that you have already read today that the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs has approached Google, demanding that the latter remove the Armenian names of settlements in Artsakh from virtual maps.
In this context, Vitaly Milonov, a member of the State Duma from the ruling party United Russia, posted on Facebook, stating: “The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has reported that it has asked Google to remove the Armenian names from the maps of the regions of Karabakh under Azerbaijani control (currently, these are marked in two languages). This is the best example of a new genocide and ethnic cleansing by Azerbaijani-Turkish forces. They want to erase the names of ancient Armenian cities and replace them with strange new names in their dialect.”
