Road Conditions in Armenia: Snow, Fog, and Black Ice
The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that there are closed roads in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.
The road from Amberd Fortress to Kari Lake in Aragatsotn Province is closed. Additionally, the road from Zovuni village to the Korea Gorge is temporarily closed due to the risk of landslides. The Vardenyats Pass is difficult to navigate for trucks with trailers.
In the regions of Amasia and Ashotsk in Shirak Province, it is currently snowing. Fog is present on the Yerevan-Eraskh and Lanjik-Maralik roads. There are patches of black ice on the Aparan-Aragats road in Aragatsotn Province.
Regarding Lars, according to information from the Emergency Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
