It Is Known Who Will Be Turkey's Special Representative for Normalizing Relations with Armenia
Turkey will appoint its former ambassador in Washington, Serdar Kılıç, as the special representative for normalizing relations with Armenia. This was reported by Haberler, citing the country's Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.
Recall that Çavuşoğlu had previously mentioned that Turkey and Armenia would designate special representatives to facilitate the normalization of their relations.
In this regard, the spokesperson for the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vahan Hunanyan, stated: “As always in the past, Armenia is ready for a process aimed at normalizing relations with Turkey without preconditions, as noted in the RA government program. In this context, we positively assess the Turkish Foreign Minister's announcement regarding the appointment of a special representative for the purpose of normalizing relations and confirm that the Armenian side will also appoint a special representative for dialogue.”
