Mirzoyan and Bayramov Meet in Paris: French Foreign Ministry
French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian met with his Azerbaijani and Armenian counterparts, Jeyhun Bayramov and Ararat Mirzoyan, respectively. The discussion focused on the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, as reported by the French Foreign Ministry press service.
“One year after the end of military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh, Jean-Yves Le Drian welcomed Jeyhun Bayramov and Ararat Mirzoyan. He held separate and then joint meetings under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group,” the released statement notes.
According to the French Foreign Ministry's announcement, during these negotiations, the French diplomat reaffirmed his desire to contribute to the activation of dialogue between the parties for the sake of long-term peace in the South Caucasus. He also emphasized that “France stands alongside the active efforts of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group to achieve this goal.” Le Drian expressed his readiness to conduct political-level negotiations with his Azerbaijani and Armenian counterparts.
