Arshak Karapetyan Participated in the CIS Defense Ministers Council Meeting in Russia
On November 10, Armenian Defense Minister Arshak Karapetyan participated in the regular meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS member states held in Moscow. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.
During the meeting, more than 20 issues included in the agenda were discussed, including the development of multilateral cooperation in the defense sector, the conduct of the 'Regional Security-2022' joint computer command-staff exercises, the role of the CSTO forces in combating the pandemic, humanitarian demining by joint engineering units, joint training of military personnel for the armed forces, and the results of the international army games held this year, among other topics.
The members of the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS exchanged views on the military-political situation and security issues, and highly valued the 30-year experience and directions of military cooperation in the CIS format.
At the end of the meeting, all decisions of the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS member states were signed, including the work plan for 2022.
