Mirzoyan and Lavrov Have Had a Phone Conversation
The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Russia, Ararat Mirzoyan and Sergey Lavrov, held a phone conversation on November 1, during which they discussed the tripartite agreement signed on November 9, 2020, as well as all military operations in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Special attention was paid to the progress in addressing urgent humanitarian issues, primarily the return of detained individuals, the transfer of maps of mined areas, and the preservation of religious and cultural heritage.
The interlocutors addressed the need to reduce tension along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, to unblock all transport and economic connections in the South Caucasus, and to create a favorable environment for regional cooperation.
The importance of efforts aimed at the political-diplomatic resolution of border incidents between Armenia and Azerbaijan was emphasized. The discussions also touched upon the issues of Russian-Armenian cooperation.
The heads of the foreign policy agencies also discussed a number of international and regional issues.
