Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Issues Statement
Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has announced the country's willingness to normalize relations with Armenia. He made this statement during a meeting with Finland's Foreign Minister Pekka Olavi Haavisto as part of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
“Despite the decades of aggressive politics towards Azerbaijan, the country is ready to normalize relations with its neighboring state based on the principles of international law,” said the Azerbaijani minister. He also reiterated several traditional accusations against the Armenian side, ranging from alleged environmental damage to landmine threats.
