Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry Complains to Russia
Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry has filed a complaint to Russia through diplomatic channels, according to Azerbaijani media, as reported by armeniatoday.
This move by Baku responds to the use of the term "Republic of Artsakh" on the official website of Russia's unified procurement information system regarding purchases for Russian peacekeepers in the region.
"It should be noted that in this regard, Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry has immediately lodged a complaint with the Russian side through diplomatic channels. The other side has been informed that such incorrect information does not correspond to the spirit of friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries," said Leyla Abdullayeva, head of the press service of Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry.
She added that "the other side, in turn, stated that this was a technical error, and emphasized that appropriate steps would be taken to rectify it, as well as that similar issues would be treated with care in the future."
