Gagik Surenyans Forecasts Upcoming Weather Conditions
From August 27 to 30, due to the influx of tropical warm air currents from Iraq, a gradual increase in air temperature by 5-7 degrees is expected across the entire territory of the republic. This was announced by Gagik Surenyan, the Deputy Director of the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center, in a Facebook post.
The highest temperatures are expected to be recorded on August 29 and 30 in the lowland areas of the republic, particularly in the Ararat Valley and its foothills, in the Syunik valleys, and in Yerevan, reaching +38 to +40 degrees.
During the mentioned days, a high fire hazard situation is anticipated across the entire territory of the republic. The population is urged to observe fire safety rules.
