Woman Jumps from Rock in Stepanakert

On August 11, around 09:55, the Emergency Situations Call Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received a report, simultaneously with the police duty unit, regarding a person who had fallen into the flowing river under the bridge near the intersection of Staravoytova and Naberezhna streets.

A rapid response operational group and police officers were dispatched to assist at the scene. It was discovered that the individual in the river was I.A., a resident of Stepanakert (born in 1980). She is registered at the mental health dispensary of the Artsakh Ministry of Health.

In a state of emotional distress, she jumped from the rock that supports the mentioned bridge and fell into the river below, sustaining injuries. Rescuers, with the help of police, used technical special equipment to retrieve the victim from the river and transported her to a medical facility. Her life is not in danger. A forensic medical examination has been appointed.
