Video: Residents of Artsakh Sang the Anthem in Renaissance Square

On August 8th, a meeting took place between singer Andre and the residents of Artsakh in Renaissance Square, Stepanakert. The gathered crowd requested the singer to perform the anthem of Artsakh.

“The anthem? No, you must also sing the national anthem, we should sing together. After performing the anthem, we will pay our respects and light candles at the monument of our boys. Come on, let’s sing our Artsakh, our Republic's anthem together. It is still here, and we are still here. And our Republic is still here. Let’s not forget that this anthem was written in the 90s. We also went through very difficult days then, but… Let’s sing together; I can’t do it alone,” said Andre, after which they sang the anthem together.

It is worth noting that two days prior, an Andre concert poster was torn down in Renaissance Square.

“When they give my child, that’s when they can come, I’ll pass it on…” said a resident.

Additionally, a concert titled “Pain for Artsakh” by singer Andre is scheduled for August 8th at 20:00 in Renaissance Square, Stepanakert.
