Nearly 200 Wildfire Outbreaks Extinguished; Firefighting Efforts Ongoing in Five Turkish Provinces
In Turkey, rescue teams continue to battle wildfires spreading through the country's southern regions. According to reports from "RIA Novosti," referencing local sources, around 200 fires have been extinguished, with another 12 still spreading across five provinces.
It is reported that from July 28 to August 6, 196 outbreaks have been brought under control. Currently, fires are still ongoing in the provinces of Muğla, Antalya, Aydın, Denizli, and Isparta.
On Thursday, Turkey's Agriculture Minister Bekir Pakdemirli announced that firefighting efforts continue in the southern regions of the country. The wildfires have resulted in the deaths of 8 people, with 864 others injured.
