Bachkov Forced to Settle for Olympic Bronze Due to Controversial Refereeing Decision
Boxer Hovhannes Bachkov could not overcome the hurdle in the semifinals of the Tokyo Olympic Games in the 63 kg weight category.
In his match against Kaishon Davis, the referees awarded the victory to the American with a highly questionable decision, despite Bachkov's opponent not engaging in fair play. At one point, Davis was even cautioned for repeatedly violating the rules.
Hovhannes Bachkov is now forced to settle for an Olympic bronze medal.
