National Assembly Elects Vice President: Ruling Party Ensures Necessary Votes for Opposition Representative
The National Assembly’s Civil Contract faction will ensure the necessary number of votes for Ishkhan Sagatelyan to be elected as the Vice President of the National Assembly. This was announced by the secretary of the Civil Contract faction, Nazeli Baghdasaryan, during a session in the National Assembly.
"Not wanting to hinder the normal process of forming the National Assembly bodies, and ensuring the opportunities provided by law, the ruling faction will participate in the election of the Vice Speaker, guaranteeing the minimum required number of votes for Ishkhan Sagatelyan's election," said Nazeli Baghdasaryan.
The process of electing Ishkhan Sagatelyan as Vice President of the National Assembly has already begun.
