The Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel, has congratulated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the occasion of assuming office. This was reported by the press service of the German government.
According to Merkel, Pashinyan is taking office amidst "serious challenges and uncertainties." She stated that the COVID-19 pandemic requires unprecedented measures from all of us. "Germany, as a reliable partner, is ready to continue supporting Armenia on the path of reforms," noted the German Chancellor.
Angela Merkel also added that Germany will continue to support the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group aimed at resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
