Russia Emphasizes Stabilization of Situation in Nagorno-Karabakh Ahead of UN General Assembly Session
Russia places importance on the resolution of the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone. This was indicated by the Russian Foreign Ministry in a statement released regarding the Russian position ahead of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly.
"The implementation of the trilateral statements from November 9 and January 11 is a priority within the framework of efforts to stabilize the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone. We consider it beneficial to involve UN agencies, particularly the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, in the humanitarian efforts being conducted in the area of Russian peacekeeping operations. The parameters of their possible work should be coordinated through direct engagement with Baku and Yerevan," the Foreign Ministry's statement reads.
