Former Health Minister Arsen Torosyan Recalls Call from Professor Babloyan During 44-Day War

Former Minister of Health and former head of the Prime Minister's Staff Arsen Torosyan shared on his Facebook page, "During the 44-day war, Professor Babloyan reached out to me and mentioned that together with colleagues, they were preparing to establish a new orthopedics and prosthetics center in the area of the ArBeS Rehabilitation Center. The expanded services would be provided there by the Orthesis Center, renowned for its extensive experience in this field. I wholeheartedly welcomed the idea, knowing that there will be a great need for such centers in the near future. Both our children with mobility issues and our soldiers who have been injured or lost limbs would benefit from the center's services.

Today, we attended the opening ceremony of this modern center, where we recalled our conversation from nearly ten months ago, as well as the decades of hard work that professionals in the field have selflessly undertaken to improve the quality of life for thousands of children and adults, granting them the opportunity to move and live a full life. Once again, I extend my gratitude to all of them for their work."

It should be noted that yesterday, on July 29, the opening ceremony of the newly constructed building of the "Orthesis" prosthetics and orthotics center took place in the territory of the "Arabkir" Medical Complex's "ArBeS" Health Center. The idea to expand rehabilitation services became a priority for the "Orthesis" and "ArBeS" centers in the autumn of 2020. During the war, the Arabkir Medical Complex altered its main program direction, took out a loan, and began the construction of a new wing to create comprehensive conditions that meet international standards to support the injured.

With the efforts of the "Orthesis" center, the building has been equipped with new devices and technologies, which, in collaboration with French partners, will further enhance the quality of services, bringing them up to international standards. Among the upcoming projects to expand the rehabilitation services of the "ArBeS" Health Center is the construction of a pool aimed at rehabilitation therapy.
