Vagharshak Harutyunyan Reveals Reasons for Resignation to Close Associates
The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports that following Vagharshak Harutyunyan's resignation from the position of Minister of Defense, his close associates and surrounding individuals have attempted to reach out to him to understand the reasons behind his departure.
It turns out that Harutyunyan's resignation came as a surprise to many. According to sources, he has reassured his close associates that there is no cause for concern, as a process of change has simply begun, which should be accepted positively.
Essentially, he explained to his close associates that there are no other issues at play in his decision to leave the system. Meanwhile, there are rumors that he may be appointed as Armenia's ambassador to Russia.
It should be noted that Arshak Karapetyan, who previously served as the deputy chief of staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, has now been appointed as the First Deputy Minister of Defense and is effectively carrying out the duties of the minister.
This is significant as new ministers can only be appointed after the first session of the newly elected National Assembly, which occurs within a five-day timeframe. Currently, government members are acting in their roles.
