Turkish Citizen Illegally Crosses Armenian Border; Currently Detained
A Turkish citizen, Yılmaz Ergini, illegally crossed the Republic of Armenia's (RA) protected state border without the necessary documentation and appropriate permission. This information was reported by the judicial information system.
On June 21 at approximately 20:05, Ergini bypassed the border checkpoints of RA, crossed the Araks River along the Armenian-Turkish border, overcame the established engineering barrier, and entered Armenia without the required documents and permission.
He was apprehended by the border guards of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation while on Armenian territory. Yılmaz Ergini has been detained, and the case is being handled by the General Jurisdiction Court of Armavir Province. On July 16, the case was accepted for proceedings and assigned to Judge Artur Adamyants.
