42-Year-Old Man Falls into Gorge and Dies in Kapan
On July 24, at 12:13 PM, the Syunik Regional Crisis Management Center received a report that a citizen had left a gathering place near the Hamletavan neighborhood of Kapan and had not returned, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia.
A firefighting and rescue team from the regional emergency rescue department was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that A.G. (born in 1979) had moved toward the gorge from the area adjacent to the 11th kilometer of the Kapan-Kajaran highway and had not returned.
Rescuers discovered A.G.'s body in the gorge (approximately 100 meters down), retrieved it, and brought it to an ambulance.
