"We Will Meet in Court": Vanetsyan Sues Former Deputy Minister of Defense
Parliamentary candidate from the "Honorary Duty" alliance and former head of the National Security Service, Arthur Vanetsyan, is preparing to demand compensation for moral damages due to defamation from former Deputy Minister of Defense Gagik Melkonyan.
This was announced by lawyer Lusine Sahakyan on Facebook, stating: "A civil lawsuit is already being prepared to refute the obvious defamatory statements and to demand compensation for the moral damage caused. We will meet in court."
It is noteworthy that the statements in question were made during a broadcast of the Public Television on July 21, during a conversation with Petros Ghazaryan.
“Vanetsyan went and fled. Leaving and returning made no difference. They went there, gathered weapons, knowing there were plenty of weapons left behind, and brought them back to Armenia. Their aim was to go and bring weapons," Melkonyan said, discussing Arthur Vanetsyan's trip to Artsakh during the 44-day war.
