Armen Charchyan to Accept His Parliamentary Mandate
Doctor and candidate for parliament from the "Armenia" alliance, Armen Charchyan, will accept his parliamentary mandate following the court's decision to release him on bail. In a conversation with the media, his lawyer, Aram Vardevanyan, expressed regret that achieving justice took a month, during which there were witnesses to the injustice. According to Vardevanyan, the professor should never have been in custody, but ultimately, justice prevails.
The lawyer outlined the developments in the case, noting that Judge Meliksetyan was the first to approve the detention as a measure of restraint. "Let me not evaluate Ms. Meliksetyan; just ask any second lawyer or attorney what their opinion is about the quality of justice provided by Ms. Meliksetyan. Secondly, the one who tried to maintain this detention was Lusine Abgaryan. Ask regarding her how many serious cases she has been able to truly administer justice worthy of a judge, and then inquire about Mr. Misakyan's record as a judge in administering justice, and you will find an answer to every question," stated lawyer Aram Vardevanyan.
Armen Charchyan will be released for a bail of 15 million drams.
