‘Once you have to pay the bill at the café too.’ Hovik Aghazaryan on the controversial project
As we reported, the National Assembly has approved for the first time a bill to increase the monthly expenses of MPs from 50,000 drams to 250,000 drams. In a conversation with journalists regarding this topic, My Step faction MP Hovik Aghazaryan stated, ‘It's not mandatory to go to the provinces; why not have interactions with voters in Yerevan? I apologize, but I will descend to a domestic level. If someone invites you to a café and they pay the bill, it’s not nice to let them pay again the next time. Sooner or later, you also have to pay the bill. Therefore, it shouldn't be said that these expenses are only related to visits to the provinces; there are also expenses in the city.’
