'Hraparak' reports: 'The members of the Central Office of the 'Civil Contract' party met today with the candidates for deputy positions included in the electoral list. The discussion lasted for 1.5 hours and included Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
The meeting, which concluded a few days of deliberations, has resulted in decisions regarding the leadership of the National Assembly. As previously reported, the Civil Contract has proposed Alen Simonyan for the position of Speaker of the National Assembly, with Ruben Rubinyan and Hakob Arshakyan nominated as Deputy Speakers. The group leader will be Hayk Konjoryan, and the secretary will be Nazeli Baghdasaryan.
As we can see, gender equality has not been upheld, as there will be no female deputy speaker this time.'
