Azerbaijan and Russia Discuss Demarcation Issues
From July 6 to 9, a meeting was held in Baku between Azerbaijan's Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov and Amir Bilyaletdinov, the head of the joint commission for border demarcation between Azerbaijan and Russia. This was the 9th session of the border demarcation commission.
During the meeting, the parties discussed matters related to the continuation of the demarcation process and confirmed the necessary documents for the organization and implementation of the demarcation work. By mutual agreement, the installation of border markers will continue in accordance with the joint commission's 2021 work plan.
The next session of the commission will take place on the territory of the Russian Federation. The dates for the next meeting will be coordinated through diplomatic channels.
