Police Officers Received 3.7 Billion Dram in Bonuses Over Last Five Months
In Armenia, which is experiencing a post-war crisis, bonuses for public sector employees continue. According to data obtained from the police in response to a written inquiry from NEWS.am, police personnel received a total of 3.7 billion dram (approximately 7.1 million USD) for monthly bonuses from January to May 2021, amounting to an average of about 700 million dram per month.
However, the police did not specify how many officers received bonuses during this period, citing that the personnel data regarding police department staffing levels is classified and not subject to public disclosure.
