CEC Receives 3 Applications to Nullify Election Results
The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has received 3 applications regarding the nullification of the election results. This was announced today, June 27, during the summarization of the results of the extraordinary parliamentary elections by CEC Chairman Tigran Mukuchyan.
“Before the election day, the CEC received 85 applications in total, of which 13 were from political parties and party alliances, 17 were self-withdrawal applications from candidates, 2 requests for clarification from a public organization, 2 requests from current National Assembly members, and 48 applications from citizens. Among them, 2 applications were submitted by citizen Arzakantsyan, whose registration as a candidate was annulled by the electoral commission's decision. Additionally, one application was made by a public organization for the accreditation of observers for the monitoring mission, which was denied due to not meeting the requirements of the electoral code. Two requests for clarification were fulfilled,” he stated.
