Video: Our Party Has Improvement Programs, Tigran Arzakanzyan to Nikol Pashinyan
Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held discussions today with Tigran Arzakanzyan as part of a meeting with various extra-parliamentary political forces.
Nikol Pashinyan: "Dear Mr. Arzakanzyan, I am glad to see you. Thank you for accepting the invitation to this meeting. I regret that during the electoral campaign your candidacy was declared invalid. I hope you are confident that this is related to the nuances of Armenian legislation and is a decision made by the Central Electoral Commission. Nevertheless, I consider the discussion on further topics important today. I would like to hear your views on what we should do to make the extra-parliamentary opposition and the government more audible and accessible to each other. I would also like to know your position on the future course of Armenia's political life. Thank you."
Tigran Arzakanzyan: "Thank you for the invitation. The most important thing is that our party has many improvement programs. I would very much like to discuss issues related to Artsakh, the education system, and economic development with the new leadership and the government. I consider myself a patriotic Armenian and would like my knowledge and programs, as well as the investments I made in my homeland, to be effective and serve our country; negotiations with the current administration will continue. I think about the development of our state, and our party colleagues do too. We would like to cooperate on all these issues, and the negotiations should be ongoing and effective for the development of our country. The most crucial aspects are security and economic development; elections come and go, and life does not end with them. We must continue to ensure that, most importantly, we can uphold and develop our country's name everywhere. The results of this election are already clear to all of us. Life does not end with that, I reiterate. We are ready for effective cooperation and to discuss all issues."
The interlocutors discussed issues related to the consolidation of potential and capabilities, as well as prospects for further cooperation.
