Armenia Must Amend the Constitution and Become a Presidential Republic Again, Says Armen Sarkissian
Armenia must amend its Constitution and revert to a presidential system, believes President Armen Sarkissian, as reported by RIA Novosti.
Sarkissian stated that currently, when the country is led by the Prime Minister, it cannot be deemed either presidential or parliamentary. People possess significant power but lack accountability.
"Armenia should return to a presidential governance model and begin implementing reforms aimed at the future, bringing in new technologies based on artificial intelligence, and opening doors to the large Armenian diaspora, so that the country becomes more predictable and oriented towards the future," he said.
