Extreme High Temperatures Expected from June 21-24: +39...+40 Celsius
Due to the influx of tropical warm air currents from the Arabian deserts, a severe high temperature backdrop is expected across the entire republic from June 21 to 24. In the Ararat Plain and its foothills, Vayots Dzor foothills, Syunik valley region, and Yerevan, daytime temperatures are anticipated to reach +39...+40 degrees Celsius.
This warning was shared by the Head of the Hydro-meteorological and Monitoring Center on his Facebook page, emphasizing that a high risk of fire hazards is expected in the mentioned areas from June 19 to 24. The intensity of ultraviolet radiation is also predicted to be above normal. It is advised to avoid direct sunlight from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
