Putin Refuses Protocol Meeting at Geneva Airport

Russian President Vladimir Putin has declined a protocol meeting with Swiss authorities upon his arrival for the Russia-US summit. This was reported by Tribune de Genève.

The Mayor of Geneva, Frédérique Perler, announced that the Russian president has backed out of the protocol meeting organized with Swiss authorities at the airport. Swiss officials were prepared for the meeting but will respect the wishes of the Russian delegation.
