MP Sergey Atomyan from 'My Step' Resigns from National Assembly
According to part 1 of Article 155 of the Constitutional Law on the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, Sergey Atomyan, a member of the 'My Step' faction of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, submitted his resignation on June 4.
According to part 2 of Article 155 of the Constitutional Law on the Rules of Procedure, if within a week after the announcement of the resignation the MP withdraws their resignation request in writing, the President of the National Assembly makes a statement regarding this matter. If the MP does not withdraw their resignation request, an act on the cessation of their powers is prepared and signed by the President of the National Assembly and published. The resignation is deemed accepted from the moment of the publication of the act.
