Sergey Lavrov Had a Phone Conversation with Jeyhun Bayramov: Details Revealed

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, held a phone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, on May 13. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"In connection with the escalation of the situation on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, it was emphasized, as well as during Lavrov’s earlier phone conversation with the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ara Aivazian, the strict adherence to the ceasefire regime, as well as the necessity for the implementation of the provisions of the statements made by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Russia on November 9, 2020, and January 11, 2021. It was stressed that all such incidents should be resolved exclusively through political and diplomatic methods. There was a readiness to assist in the consistent settlement of the situation in the South Caucasus," the statement said.
