Armen Ashotyan Announces that the Republican Party will Participate in Snap Parliamentary Elections in Coalition with Another Party
The regular meeting of the Executive Body of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) concluded a short while ago, chaired by RPA President and former President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan.
During the meeting, several issues related to domestic political life were discussed, as well as regional developments concerning the interests of Armenia and Artsakh.
Opinions were exchanged regarding the Republican Party's stance on the possible snap parliamentary elections, the advisability of participation, and possible formats.
“As a result, considering the vital imperative of removing the capitulatory government from power, the importance of deploying all means and efforts for that purpose, and the recent developments in the opposition field, the Republican Party of Armenia has decided to participate in the nationwide process of organizing snap parliamentary elections in the Republic of Armenia,” Ashotyan stated.
Following the summarization of potential formats of participation and existing cooperative proposals, it was decided to initiate the process of forming a pre-election coalition with the 'Homeland' Party.
At the same time, the unconstitutional, unlawful, monopolistic, and repressive actions of the current treacherous administration were noted, which pose a threat of distrust and delegitimization to this process.
