Armenian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Responds to Aliyev's Threats
Anna Naghdalyan has responded to the president of Azerbaijan's statements regarding the threats of using force against Armenia during an interview with an Azerbaijani television channel.
Question: The president of Azerbaijan has stated threats against the use of force towards Armenia. Could you please provide your comment on this?
Response: We strongly condemn the Azerbaijani president's ambitions and threats of using force against Armenia's territorial integrity. Such statements seriously undermine regional peace and stability. They reveal the insincere and deceptive nature of Azerbaijan's recent declarations concerning peace and reconciliation.
It is noteworthy that such threats are made ahead of the anniversary of the Armenian Genocide and aim to communicate with the Armenian people from a position of power.
We are in constant communication with our strategic ally, as well as with all partners interested in peace in the South Caucasus. Armenia will take all necessary measures to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
