Cause of Death Revealed for 26-Year-Old Woman and Her 7-Year-Old Daughter
The investigation revealed no signs of violence on the bodies of the mother and daughter. Forensic examinations have been ordered.
The cause of death for the 26-year-old woman and her 7-year-old daughter, discovered in a Yerevan apartment, was carbon monoxide poisoning. This information was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
At 12:40 AM today, the Emergency Medical Service called the Kanaker-Zeitun division of the Armenian police, reporting that the bodies of a mother and daughter had been found in an apartment on Rubinyants Street in Yerevan.
“The examination conducted by the investigative-operational group has revealed the bodies of the 26-year-old woman and her 7-year-old daughter, with no signs of violence detected on their bodies. According to the copies of the medical certificates regarding their death, the cause was acute poisoning by carbon monoxide,” the report states.
In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated at the Investigative Committee of Armenia under Article 279, Part 3 of the Criminal Code (the release or sale of products that do not meet safety requirements, or the performance of work or provision of services that do not meet established norms).
Forensic examinations have been ordered, and further investigative and procedural actions are being carried out to clarify all circumstances of the case.
