Allen Simonian does not comment on the statement made by My Step Alliance MP Hovik Aghazaryan, who claims that Karvachar is not Armenian.

In a conversation with reporters, Simonian stated that this does not reflect the opinion of the government, and regarding his own feelings, he considers the entire Armenian highlands to be his homeland. “My parents are originally from Kars. We also have a house there, the second house on the right after the iron bridge. That is also my homeland, even though it is currently in Turkey. I also consider Aghdam to be my homeland, as my ancestors lived there, and my churches are there,” he said.
