5 Citizens Sue the Ministry of Defense
Five citizens have filed a lawsuit against the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, demanding compensation for their combat duty. This information comes from the Judicial Information System.
The citizens—Karen Avetyan, Hrayr Avetisyan, Saro Bagratyan, Hrayr Sahakyan, and Varuzhan Kalantaryan—have approached the Administrative Court against the Ministry of Defense, requesting their remuneration for combat duty performed from October 30 to December 10, 2020, while part of a military unit under the Ministry.
The lawsuit was submitted on March 29 and has been assigned to Administrative Court Judge Gevorg Sosyan. It is noteworthy that in January, protests took place in front of the Ministry of Defense, where several citizens demanded that the ministry pay the sums owed to them.
