Five More Soldier Remains Discovered and Recovered in Jabrayil and Fizuli Regions
In the southern wing, which has come under Azerbaijan's control, rescue operations conducted today in the Jirakan (Jabrayil) and Varanda (Fizuli) regions led to the discovery and recovery of the remains of five more soldiers by Artsakh rescuers.
According to the Artsakh Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) State Service, since the ceasefire on November 13, 2020, a total of 1,523 remains have been discovered from the occupied territories of Artsakh or transferred to the Armenian side by Azerbaijan, of which 25 are preliminarily identified as civilians, while the rest are soldiers, volunteers, or reservists who died during the war.
The State Service of Emergency Situations will continue its search operations in the coming days as necessary.
