I Do Not Believe the Armenian Authorities Were Unaware of the British 'HALO Trust' Engaging in Spying in Artsakh: Zohrabyan
Member of the National Assembly from the 'Prosperous Armenia' faction, Naira Zohrabyan, made a post on her Facebook page addressing the information that has been circulating since yesterday regarding the British 'HALO Trust' engaging in espionage in Artsakh and transferring maps of mined areas to Azerbaijan.
The post is presented below:
“After the Velvet Revolution, Western espionage networks became active in Armenia and Artsakh. Local spies, alongside foreign operatives, have weakened the immunities of our two Armenian states. Now, the special representative of the president of Artsakh states that the British 'HALO Trust', which was engaged in charitable work in Artsakh, transferred the maps of mined areas to Turkish intelligence, enabling Azerbaijan to effectively traverse the mined defensive territories during the 44-day war.
It is hard for me to believe that the Armenian authorities were unaware of this. Or the president of the small fragment of Artsakh that remains. By allowing the enemy to receive the maps of the mined territories, you have permitted them to cross unhindered through impassable areas.
In the end, what can you expect from a government whose National Security Service uses all its resources not to combat external enemies but to catch fakes and to eavesdrop on my phone conversations about women’s tights.
I will say that today, I will specifically speak by phone about the new skincare product from 'Dior' for our NSS. Choose the operator who finds that topic interesting to eavesdrop on. Meanwhile, Armenia and Artsakh will still have to answer for turning into a platform for external and internal spies.”
