Fire in a Building on Mashtots Avenue: One Person Suffered Smoke Inhalation
On February 9, at 15:40, the National Crisis Management Center received a report that smoke was visible from one of the apartments in building No. 20 on Mashtots Avenue in Yerevan. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Two fire and rescue units from the Yerevan rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were dispatched to the scene.
It was found that the fire broke out in the living room (approximately 20 sq.m.) of one of the apartments on the 3rd floor (approximately 60 sq.m.) of the building.
Rescuers managed to bring out A.K. (approximately 45 years old) from the apartment in a condition of smoke inhalation and handed him over to an ambulance. The victim was hospitalized first at the Heratsi Hospital Complex No. 1 and later transferred to Armenia Medical Center.
The fire was contained at 16:01 and extinguished by 16:14. The living room (20 sq.m.) was damaged along with its furnishings.
