Mariuonian Tangled Everything: Signed 200 Construction Permits on the Last Day of the Year
According to the newspaper, due to the inaction of Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan, various construction companies and those involved in that sector have found themselves in a dire situation. Reports indicate that for several months, different firms have been waiting for Marutyan to sign a document that would allow them to start their construction work or legally finalize it. However, Marutyan rarely visits the city hall, which has prevented companies from expanding their operations.
The newspaper clarified that the last time Hayk Marutyan went to the city hall was on December 30, when he signed documents for about 200 construction permits in one go. But, it turns out that these permits have not yet reached their recipients, as the city hall began delivering those documents only on January 11. Our sources also report that the architecture and urban development department of the Yerevan city hall has found itself in a difficult situation following Marutyan's inaction, leading to everything becoming tangled and mixed up, creating corruption risks.
Hayk Marutyan's press secretary, Hakob Karapetyan, has decided no longer to respond to our verbal inquiries, which has prevented us from understanding why Marutyan has chosen to retaliate against the residents of Yerevan.
