Azerbaijan's Ombudsman Secretly Meets with Armenian Prisoners of War in Detention
Azerbaijan's Human Rights Defender Sabina Aliyeva conducted another meeting with detainees at the Ministry of Justice's penitentiary service in Baku. According to minval.az, during the visit, the Ombudsman met secretly with Armenian prisoners of war held there, who were captured after the signing of the trilateral agreement on November 9, 2020.
It is noteworthy that there is no definitive information regarding the exact number of Armenian prisoners of war in Azerbaijan. Earlier, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that during a recent meeting in Moscow, the issue of returning the prisoners had not been resolved.
