Moscow Once Again Directly Accuses Pashinyan of Lying: Statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry
Moscow has once again directly accused Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of lying. The Russian Foreign Ministry stated, "Russia has never limited the resolution of the Artsakh issue to simply returning the seven regions of the region to Azerbaijan while forgetting the question of Artsakh's status." This was expressed by Igor Popov, the Russian co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, in comments issued on Wednesday regarding Pashinyan's article about the "roots of the 44-day war."
Earlier, Pashinyan had claimed that Moscow had suggested returning the seven regions of Artsakh to Baku while leaving the status question unresolved. "That was an alternative to war," Pashinyan said. This statement was made by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
